Samsung has recently launched an improved version of it Galaxy Grand in India - Galaxy Grand 2. The improved iteration of the smartphone will have improved chipset, larger and better display and much more. It will hit the market from January and will be available in between the price range of Rs. 22,990 - Rs. 24,990.

One of the improvements in the new iteration is the display. It was disappointing 480x800 pixel for Galaxy Grand which is now improved to 720x1280 pixel resolution in the new Galaxy Grand 2. Another improvement is the battery. the 2100mAh battery of Grand is improved to 2600mAh in Grand 2. Samsung promises upto 10Hours of playback and 17Hours of Talk-time.

Considering the specifications and improved features Galaxy Grand to is positioned well in this price range which is somewhere between Rs. 22,990 and Rs. 24,990. Though Grand 2 is a great jump in terms of specs compared to Galaxy Grand, it is not too much in different in terms of price. There are other phablets like Micromax Turbo, Gionee Elife E6 and the upcoming E7 to compete with Grand 2 in this terms of price.
