List of Windows Shortcut keys which you never knew

Here's the list of some awesome Windows Shortcuts that you never knew about and that makes your work easier.

Exclusive Microsoft Keyboard Shortcuts:
(Note:  Here 'Win' stands for 'Windows Logo' Key)
  1. Win  = Show/Hide  start menu
  2. Win + D = Display Desktop
  3. Win + E = Open 'My Computer'
  4. Win + F = Search file/folder
  5. Win + L = Lock the keyboard
  6. Win + R = Open 'Run' dialogue box
  7. Win + U = Open Utility Manager
  8. Win + F1 = Open Windows help center
  9. Win + Break = Display System Properties
  10. Win + M = Minimize all windows
  11. Win + Shift + M = Restore all minimized windows
  12. Win + Ctrl + F = Search for other computers
  13. Win + Tab = Switch between open windows in Aero Mode

Other general purpose shortcuts:
(Note: Here Right, Left, Up, Down indicate the arrow/navigation keys)
  1. Alt + Enter = View properties of selected item
  2. Alt + Space = Open shortcut menu of active window
  3. Alt + Tab = Switch between open windows in normal way
  4. Alt + Underlined letter in menu = Perform corresponding task
  5. Ctrl + Right = Move cursor to beginning of next word
  6. Ctrl + Left = Move cursor to beginning of previous wrod
  7. Ctrl + Up = Move cursor to beginning of previous paragraph
  8. Ctrl + Down = Move cursor to beginning of next paragraph
  9. Ctrl + Shift + Any Arrow Key = Highlight particular block of text
  10. Ctrl + Esc = Open Start Menu
  11. Home = Move cursor to beginning of current line
  12. End = Move cursor to end of current line
  13. Ctrl + Home = Move cursor to beginning of file
  14. Ctrl + End = Move cursor to end of file
  15. Shift + Ctrl + Home = Select all between beginning of file and current cursor position
  16. Shift + Ctrl + End = Select all between current cursor position and end of file

Dialogue Box  Keyboard Shortcuts:
  1. Tab = Move forward through options
  2. Shift + Tab = Move backward through options
  3. Ctrl + Tab = Move forward through tabs
  4. Shift + Ctrl + Tab = Move backwards through tabs

Internet Explorer Shortcuts:
  1. Ctrl + B = Organize Favorites
  2. Ctrl + E = Search Bar
  3. Ctrl + F = Find Utility
  4. Ctrl + H = History
  5. Ctrl + I = Favorites Bar Show/Hide
  6. Ctrl + L = Go to Address Bar
  7. Ctrl + N = Start another instance of browser with same web address
  8. Ctrl + O = Open dialogue box
  9. Ctrl + P = Print dialogue box
  10. Ctrl + R = Refresh current web page
