A few weeks after the release of the excellent Ronin SC (which we are testing), the brand continues to launch new products with its smartphone stabilizer Osmo Mobile 3. As with the release of the second version, the price is down again, which makes its value for money very interesting.
The Osmo Mobile 2 was an excellent product that seduced me during my test . The third version brings a major novelty: a new foldable design. It will take even less space in a bag, and a carrying case is provided (with a tripod) in the bundle. A new feature called Quick Rotation lets you switch from horizontal to vertical without having to remove the smartphone from the Osmo Mobile 3.
The DJI Osmo Mobile 3 is now controlled through the application DJI Mimo, which connects in Bluetooth 5.0 smartphone. On the left side of the neck, there is a zoom, the trigger back, and the joystick in the front. Among the features offered in the app Mimo, we find these modes of shooting:
Crucial point for choosing a stabilizer: autonomy. The brand announces 15 hours of use , which is more than enough to enjoy it on a trip. Charging is done through a USB-C port. - ActiveTrack 3.0: DJI's deep learning algorithms allow the Osmo Moblie 3 to recognize and follow topics of your choice, making it an ideal tool to easily capture happy moments with your family.
- Timelapse: If you're looking to turn minutes into seconds, Timelapse mode is perfect for creating unique video content with the effect of the world moving faster around you
- Hyperlapse: take the impressive visual effects of Timelapse mode and add motion to the scene with HyperLapse
