How To Enable Google+ Comments

Google+ comments is an alternate to the default commenting system for the Blogger blogs. It is only available for those authors who have integrated their Google+ account with the blogger account and upgrade their Blogger profile to their Google+ profile.

What the Google+ comments will do is a really cool stuff - It will bring together all the comments related to particular post and display them in your blog. These will include the comments which are:
  • Commented on your blogger blog post itself
  • Commented on some post which has been shared on Google+ and is linking to your blog post
  • Commented on the blog post you have shared on Google+
If you don't use Google+ comments then all these comments would be scattered all over the internet and you may even not be able to track them. If you are a pro blogger you might be aware how important these things like comments, sitemaps, backlinks, etc. are for the good ranking of your blog. The traditional comments on Blogger are good but Google+ comments clearly have some great things.
  • Whenever someone comments on a post on Google+ which links to a post on your blog, that comment will automatically appear in the comment list on you blog.
  • Whenever someone comments on a post on you blog, there is an option, checked by default, to share that comment on you Google+ profile also.
  • If there is a comment on blog post and it is shared on Google+, then any replies to that comment will be shown both on blog as well as Google+, but only to people with whom the original comment was shared.
  • If the comment is not shared with blog author, then the comment will not be shown to the author in either of the locations.
  • As the author of the blog, you will always receive a notification whenever there is a comment on the blog or whenever the post is shared.
These are all reasons for why it will be great to have Google+ comments on you blog. Now, as every coins has two sides, there are a few drawbacks of Google+ comments. Read " Why you should NOT USE Google+ Comments on your blog? "
